For the second consecutive game, Nicole Ohlde scored a team-high 18 points -- going 6-for-8 from the floor and sinking all six of her free-throw attempts -- and the Senior Women's National Team used a big second quarter en route to a 93-67 victory over a Hungarian All-Star team on Wednesday night in Gyor, Hungary. Sheryl Swoopes added 17 points and Katie Smith had 16 for Team USA, while Michelle Snow pulled in a game-high 10 rebounds.
Trailing 19-15 early in the second period, Team USA outscored Hungary 26-2 over the next six-and-a-half minutes to take control of the game. A basket by Ohlde triggered the onslaught, and the American side poured in 52 second-half points to improve to 2-0 on its current week-long swing through Europe. The final stop is Friday night in Pecs, Hungary, against a MiZo Pecs club that was recently knocked out in the quarterfinal round of the EuroLeague playoffs.
