“Life in the WNBA: The Minnesota Lynx” will air Monday, May 15, Channel 6, MCN, 9 PM
The life of the elite female athlete and the pursuit of excellence will be discussed on the award-winning Mary Hanson cable show. This informative and engaging show will be broadcast first on Channel 6, the Metro Cable Network, or MCN, on Monday, May 15, at 9 PM. (The Metro Cable Network reaches the entire seven county metro region.)
The guests on this episode are Lynx players, Nicole Ohlde and Adrian Williams. Ohlde was drafted by the Minnesota Lynx in 2004 and was the most decorated player in Kansas State women’s basketball history. Williams is a veteran free agent forward who graduated from USC in 1999 and played for the Phoenix Mercury in 2004. Ohlde and Williams talk with Mary about training, life in the off-season, the mental part of being an athlete and how they deal with pressures. They also compare collegiate play to life in the WNBA and talk about the importance for young girls to pursue sport.
In addition to Channel 6, this program will also be seen on several other cable systems. Look for “Life in the WNBA: The Minnesota Lynx” on the following channels the week of May 15th:

The Mary Hanson Show, the longest-running cable television program in the United States, is celebrating its 26th anniversary this year. The program has also been on public television, KTCI, for the past twelve years. It provides a forum for Minnesota leaders and explores social, health and contemporary issues.
Even the biggest snow storm of the year couldn't stop Big V from visiting with the young ballers in the Coon Rapids Traveling Basketball Association.
After sharing her basketball story with over 200 attendees, Hayden answered the young ladies' questions, signed autographs, and posed for pictures.
